I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist offering psychological assessment and therapy to individuals (adults and young people) experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties or distress. I see individuals who are self-referring, referred by their GP or Mental Health professional or through another source (e.g. solicitor). I use of a range of therapeutic approaches (or ‘talking therapies’) tailored and integrated to meet the needs of the individual I am working with.
Aims of therapy vary depending on the nature of the individual’s difficulties or concerns and the goals the individual wants to work towards. Examples of how therapy can be helpful include providing support to help a person explore areas of difficulty, develop more effective ways of coping with distress or worry, or find ways of adjusting following a time of stress.
